Open Farm Sunday 2025 with Solley’s
On Sunday 8th June 2025, Solley’s took part in Open Farm Sunday.
Open Farm Sunday, managed by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), is one of the farming industry’s biggest success stories. Since the first Open Farm Sunday in 2006, over 2000 farmers across Britain have opened their gates and welcomed over 3.25 million people onto farms for farming’s annual open day.
It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to discover at first hand what it means to be a farmer and the fabulous work they do producing our food, nurturing and all the goods and services farmers provide.
Here at Solley’s, we put on factory tours (we had planned for 3 but ran 6 due to very popular demand!), ran two sets of tractor & trailer rides, had static machinery displays, pop up food from Soul Chef Kitchen and Smash & Grab as well as being open at both Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour and The Pub at Solley’s. To round off the day, Deep River Blue provided live music too.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to visit and supported us – it was wonderful to see the farm so lively and is always a pleasure to share a bit more of the story of our farm and ice cream with you all.
We plan to take part in next year’s event – the date for which is 7th June 2026 – and in the meantime we continue to be open to visitors 7 days a week with FREE admission and events running throughout the year.
